Privacy Philosophy

Navigate Food Safety Solutions believes that electronic privacy is crucial to the ongoing success of the internet as a service, commercial, and entertainment medium. Our policy is to keep the personal information we receive from our sites completely confidential and used solely for internal purposes. We will not share your personal information with any other parties.

We do not, and will not, sell your data or disclose any individually identifiable information about our users to third parties with the exception of:

We protect data shared with the above third parties according to the practices described in this Statement and we also apply any additional restrictions imposed by the source of data.

We will ensure that such third parties are compliant with data protection legislation and the data supplied for processing is used accordingly.

Use of Personal Information

Because we collect information on our websites for various reasons, we have outlined what information we collect and what we do with it in the following sections:

REGISTRATION AND/OR REQUEST FORMS

Our site contains registration and/or request forms that require users to give us contact information (such as their name and e-mail address) and unique identifiers (such as software registration numbers). We use customer contact information from the registration and request forms to send you information about our company and to contact you when necessary. Unique identifiers may be collected for use as account numbers in our record system, or to verify you as a registered user of our software.

ORDER FORMS

Our site uses order forms for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect your information (such as your e-mail address) and financial information (such as account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. Your contact information also lets us get in touch with you when necessary. We use financial information to bill you for products and services that you have purchased.

SURVEYS

Occasionally, we ask users to voluntarily participate in online surveys. Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact information (e.g. e-mail address), financial information (e.g. yearly combined household income), and demographic information (e.g. postal/zip code, age, location). We keep this information strictly confidential and use it to help us optimize our products and site for our users.

DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

We use this information to aggregate information to identify general customer trends. This information is also used to provide relevant content to you based on demographic information provided, including, but not limited to, industry and company size.

CONTESTS

Periodically, we run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information (such as e-mail address). We use contact data from our contests to send you information about our company, and to contact you when necessary.

OPT-OUT

In each case, users may choose to opt out of receiving future mailings; see the opt-out policy section below.

Use of Cookies

Navigate uses cookies to store small pieces of information on your computer. Sites often use cookies to identify repeat visitors and offer them personalized service. Our site uses cookies to keep track of your preferences, for re-marketing, and to make sure you don’t see the same survey questions repeatedly. Also, third party vendors, including Google, show ads across the internet and use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to our website.

Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user.

Navigate will only store information that adds to your browsing experience. This information is not personally identifiable.

If, for some reason, you would rather not take advantage of the benefits made possible with cookies, most web browsers allow you to reject cookies or to choose which type of cookies to accept. For instance, you may opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting

Google’s Ads Settings.

Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the

Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Check your browser’s documentation and help files, or contact your browser vendor, for more information about its cookie features.

Use of IP Addresses

We use your computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. This allows us to see which parts of our site users are visiting. We do not link IP addresses with anything personally identifiable. This means, for instance, that a user’s session will be tracked, but the user will remain anonymous.

Other Sites

Our site may also provide links to outside domains. Navigate Food Safety Solutions is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

Heat Mapping and Session Recording

Mouseflow (other behaviour analytic platform) collects information about the browser (type, version, screen size, etc.), basic information about the user (IP address, language, time zone), and data containing mouse movements, clicks, scroll events and keystrokes (except for password or credit card fields). No personal data is ever sent or shared with Mouseflow. The script does not use third-party cookies and none of the data is shared with third parties except for highly summarized data (i.e. usage share of browsers, average screen size, etc.).

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. When a user submits personal information, it is kept on a private server not accessible from the Internet. This prevents any malicious use of your information.

All financial information that is submitted to our website is encrypted and stored on private servers that are not accessible from the Internet. Further, users can select to transmit order information over a secure connection, which increases the security of each transaction.
